New Century™ optimization programs provide clear, fast, accurate least-cost solutions. As well as the normal single product optimization, multi-product  and multi-location and time optimization facilities are available. These programs are particularly suited to the evaluation and strategic planning decisions which significantly enhance the profitability of your company.

Single product optimization Single-Mix® is the core program within the New Century™ system. It controls and maintains the ingredient and product database used in all optimization programs. Its comprehensive facilities center on linear programming to produce least-cost or optimal benefit formulations. Key pricing and management reports can be drawn from Single-Mix® and the program is supplied, as standard, with a range of applications that provide special data handling facilities.

Single-Mix® Parametrics™  are included. This allows the exploration of step-wise movements in any of the constraints and variables driving the optimization.

Multi-product optimization

The Multi-Mix® program optimizes ingredient use for multiple products for a given production period. It takes into account quantities of available ingredients, with surpluses or scarcities in supply being allocated to achieve minimum overall cost. Multi-Mix® can be used to plan production and ingredient purchases.  It consistently reduces total ingredient cost for a single production period.

A unique 3 ingredient price algorithm allows Multi-Mix® to be used in evaluating trading opportunities. Integrated parametric functions enable instant assessment of the effects of changes in ingredient prices, to identify and exploit market opportunities.

Bin-Mix™, a module integrated with Multi-Mix®,  optimizes the utilization of a restricted number of silos. It can also be used as a strategic planning tool for investment in additional silos and to point out alternative strategies for ingredient purchase.

Multi-product, multi-plant, multi-time period optimization

Global-Mix® allocates scarce or surplus ingredients across multiple production sites and multiple periods of time at overall least-cost. Global-Mix® is superior to a series of Multi-Mix® optimizations because it is a true multi-site optimization and distribution model.

Global-Mix® provides a unique tool that can assist in the decision-making process for plant investment, ingredient purchase and sourcing and operational considerations. It consistently identifies additional cost-saving opportunities over single time period, single site allocation models.
